The Egg’s Castle is a short sex education film created for LILT, the Italian cancer prevention association. The video is a tool for sex-ed sessions for teenagers, and aims at explaining how insemination and the menstrual cycle work.

To appeal to a younger audience, the visual and narrative style of the animation resembles those of Japanese anime. The video incorporates the features of the style and its visual devices, adapting them to the video’s unique characters and environment.

The workflow involved the Creation of An easily adaptable character rig for each character type. The rig allows the character’s size, amount of detail and colors to react to its Y position in the scene, thus simulating geometric and aerial perspective.
