The projects consist in the visual design of Luca Taccardi‘s series of comic strips. The series features a sketched-out line art look to complement the comedic, cynical nature of the characters’ lines.

The comic strip features a main character who embodies the author, a side character and a couple of extra recurring characters. The process of designing the visuals of the strip therefore started from the protagonist and side character’s character design.

The resulting visual style uses a distinctive background color that creates unity throughout the series. The character have a grotesque, minimalist look that keeps the style consistent and recognizable across all of the characters and environments appearing in the comic strips.
