Oakley is a series of toddler’s illustrated books written by Dr. C. The main character is a funny beagle who takes part in various adventures.

The first book was published in English and Italian. Both the original version and the translation are meant to teach little kids new words in a funny way – all of them are rhyming with the word “socks”. To keep the rhymes in both languages, some of the illustrations were slightly changed in the translated edition.

To meet the need of the very young audience the series is meant for, very bright colors and high contrasts were privileged. The use of rounded shapes infuses a friendly look to the characters.
