The 2025 holiday campaign launched by the Canada Ukraine Foundation aimed at raising donations in favor of Ukranian civilians affected by war. The animation shows how the foundation supports the population by providing food and medical aid.
The campaign revolves around the concept of holiday magic rekindling the lives of Ukranian families. To convey this, the visuals rely on the use of textures and heavy contrasts between lights and shadows, highlighting the positive impact provided by donors and helpers of the foundation.
The animation was designed to fit three different aspect ratios, ensuring full compatibility with various communication channels, from broadcasting to social media. This feature was achieved by concentrating the key elements of each scene in the center of the frame, while secondary elements and background details are distributed toward the edges.
The dichotomy between the lively foundation warehouse and the harshness of the war is the heart of the campaign. The contrasts in the rhythm of the animation reflect this, alternating high paced sequences and more contemplative scenes.
The transition from bright, warm colors to colder, darkes tones underlines the distance between two different realities. The golden glow of the globe creates a visual connection between the helpers and the receivers.
