Laura Faraci Graphics

Once upon a time

Raised among pencils and Photoshop, I took interest in exploring different drawing techniques as soon as I could hold a pencil. After attending a scientific high school, I decided to finally follow my calling by attending the Communication Design course at Politecnico di Milano. During my studies I decided to specialize in animation and editorial design, while also delving into the themes of gender and communication, which became the topic of my master’s thesis. After graduation, I worked for three years in the field of exhibition design in Milan, dealing with the creation of animated video projections and interfaces for immersive environments.

Today

In 2022 I moved to Tübingen, Germany, and founded Laura Faraci Graphics, my freelancing activity as a digital illustrator and 2D motion designer. Here, I have expanded my animation skills by attending the Advanced Motion Methods course by School of Motion, while at the same time specializing in the creation of informative and educational content with a focus on health and social awareness.

Side activities

In 2021 I wrote and published Excusing Violence, a book exploring the paradox of how social campaigns against gender-based violence often spread ideas and stereotypes that are harmful to the victims of violence themselves.
